Accepted payment methods

Rand McNally Store accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. All prices are shown in U.S. dollars.


In accordance with state and local law, you are required to pay, and Rand McNally is required to collect, applicable sales tax on orders shipped within the United States. Sales tax is calculated based on state and local laws and tax rates for your shipping address. Order totals shown at checkout and in your order confirmation reflect estimated sales tax. This is also the amount that your credit or debit card will be authorized for at checkout.

Order shipped outside of the United States may be subject to duties, customs, and taxes which are determined by the destination country. Customers are responsible for the payment of all such fees, taxes, and duties related to shipment(s) to destinations outside of the United States.

Collecting payment

Upon placing an order, your credit or debit card will be “authorized” for the amount shown at checkout. Your card will be charged at the time your order ships. If your order is sent in multiple shipments, you will be charged for each individual part of the order as it is shipped (which means you will see multiple, smaller charges on your account). When multiple shipments are required, the shipping charge only applies to the first package shipped. You will not be charged for additional shipments on the same order.

Please note that the actual charge to your credit card will include all applicable taxes calculated at the time your order is shipped, and that the final amount may vary slightly from the authorization amount.

General shipping information

We process and ship orders Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). Most in-stock items ship from our Richmond, KY warehouse within 1-2 business days. Some items require a longer processing time and will be noted on the product page (also see "Shipping exceptions").
We do not ship to PO Boxes. Electronic devices will require a signature upon delivery.

Tracking information will be emailed to you once your order has shipped. You may also view tracking and order information by logging in to your account.

Shipping costs & transit times

Orders shipped within the United States
  • Standard Shipping (5-7 business days transit time*) is $10.95, and is free on orders of $59 or more.
  • Express Shipping (2-3 business days transit time*) is $39.95.
Orders shipped to Canada
  • Parcel Post (10-20 business days transit time*) is $39.95.
Regarding Canadian orders:
    • Prices are shown in US dollars
    • Any import duties, taxes, or fees due at the time of delivery are the sole responsibility of the receiving customer.
    • We are unable to ship globes or framed maps outside of the United States.
    • Note that estimated shipping & delivery times do not include the time it takes to clear customs.

* Indicates estimated transit times once your order leaves our warehouse. In-stock items generally ship within 1-2 business days.

Shipping exceptions

Globes and framed wall maps can only be shipped within the contiguous U.S. via Standard Ground shipping. Express U.S. shipping or shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, or Canada is not available. Because these items ship directly from the vendor, please allow an additional 5-7 days for delivery.

Any other shipping exceptions will be noted on the product page.

Electronic devices must be shipped to a physical address (no P.O. boxes) and will require a signature upon delivery.

Bulk or oversize orders

Bulk orders shipping within the US or Canada may be subject to additional shipping and handling fees that will be determined when your order is processed. A Rand McNally Store representative will contact you via phone or email with your shipping options should your order be subject to these additional charges. Please contact us if you'd like a shipping estimate on all oversize or bulk shipments.

Return Policy

Most products purchased through the Rand McNally Online Store ( may be returned for a refund within 30 calendar days of receipt. Products must be returned in their original condition and with all original packaging and accessories. Shipping charges are not refundable. Rand McNally products purchased through other retailers or third-party websites are subject to their respective seller’s return policy, and are not eligible for return or refunds through or

Additional items that are ineligible for return include:

  • Subscription services
  • Software, including Map Updates & Traffic
  • Custom maps, including ProSeries Wall Maps

How to return an item

Log in to your account to view your orders. On the order detail page, click “Request Return” to complete and submit the return request form. You will receive an email with return instructions once your return has been authorized (please allow up to one (1) day).

If you checked out as a guest and do not have an account, please contact us to request a return authorization. Be sure to include your order number, the item being returned, and the reason for your return in your message.


A refund is initiated as soon as your return is processed — generally within 30 days of receiving your return at our warehouse. You will receive an email notification once your refund has been issued. If you haven’t received a refund notification after 30 days of your return being delivered according to your tracking information, please let us know! Be sure to include your name, order number, and the tracking number of your returned package. Any shipping costs paid by the customer are non-refundable.


Most in-stock items ship within 1-2 business days. Some items require a longer processing time and will be noted on the product page.

Please note that orders with more than one item may arrive in multiple shipments.


Tracking numbers are sent via email once an order has shipped. You can also view tracking information by logging in to your account.


Unfortunately, we are unable to modify an existing order once it has been placed. If you’d like to order additional items, please place a new order.


We currently ship to addresses in the United States and Canada only.


For the protection of our customers, we cancel any orders that are identified as suspicious by our fraud team.

We do not charge customers for cancelled orders. You may see a pending transaction that indicates an authorization hold has been placed on the funds associated with the order, however these holds are usually reversed within 1-3 business days.

An order may also be cancelled because inconsistent information was provided during the checkout process. If you believe your order was cancelled due to such an error, please review the details of your transaction. Please note that once cancelled, an order cannot be reinstated. If you would like to proceed with your purchase, a new order must be placed.


Taxes that appear at checkout and in your online order confirmation are estimated. The actual taxes charged to your credit card will be calculated based on the applicable state and local sales taxes when your order is shipped.


Upon placing an order, your card is authorized for an amount that includes estimated tax and shipping. Once your order ships, any state and local taxes will be calculated and reflected in the final charge. Please note that your card will not be charged until your order ships.

Pending authorizations may have also been created because incorrect credit card information was provided. The pending authorizations are not charges and should drop off your account in within a few days.
