San Marcos Globe
The San Marcos globe, from Frank Lloyd Wright collection, adapted from the famous architect's drawings and authorized by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, matches the dimensions and geometry of the furniture it's based on.
The San Marcos globe stand showcases the 60 degree angled legs and the hexagonal top of a small accent table designed in 1936 for the San Marcos Resort, in Chandler, AZ.
In 1928, Frank Lloyd Wright began creating a major remodeling project of the existing resort, the San Marcos in the Desert Hotel on the outskirts of Phoenix. The project was never completed due to the 1929 stock market crash, but the building design and the interior renderings contain a variety of interesting furniture and decorative features.
This adapted globe stand showcases the 60 degree angled legs and the hexagonal top of a small accent table designed for the totally new special Dining Pavilion bordered by the garden terraces of the San Marcos in the Desert Hotel, Chandler, Arizona. (Project revised 1936)
- Walnut finish hexagonal globe stand
- Antique finish, 12-inch diameter globe with raised relief
Globes can only be shipped within the contiguous U.S. via Standard Ground shipping. Express U.S. shipping or shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, or Canada is not available. Because these items ship directly from the vendor, please allow an additional 5-7 days for delivery.
